The professional Association of Dive Instructors. Does that mean I have to be an instructor to be a member? Of course not, PADI is a teaching organization dedicated to the safe teaching of scuba diving to all persons, everywhere.

PADI is the worlds largest recreational scuba diving membership organization. The membership includes scuba dive businesses, resort facilities, academic institutions, instructor trainers, dive educators, divers, snorkelers and other water sports enthusiasts.
