
The PADI Open Water Diver Course, a 2-4 day
course, teaches you all the necessary skills to be able to dive, independent of
supervision, planning and making No Decompression dives to a maximum depth of 18
meter. Throughout the course you will learn the fundaments of Scuba Diving,
including scuba dive equipment and techniques. Initially you will complete 5
confined water sessions, such as in a swimming pool followed by skill and
knowledge reviews using video and CD-Rom aids. Later you will move into the real
environment and be guided through 4 Open Water Dives to a maximum of 18 meter.
Upon successful completion of this course you will receive an
internationally recognized scuba diving certificate that allows you to dive all
around the world. Take the first step to become a certified Scuba Diver.
We offer this course in two options, Full Program and Referral
Program;
Full Open Water Diver Program (4 days course)
This program starts with 2 days of theory, combined with
Confined Water training and finally 2 days of Open Water training. You will
learn the necessary skills to become a certified PADI Open Water Diver under the
direction of a experienced an PADI Certified Scuba Diving Instructor.
Referral Open Water Diver Course (2 days course)
This course is for people who already completed the theory / academic modules
with a dive centre in their home town and want to complete their training while
on vacation in Koh Tao, Thailand and don't want to spend time in a classroom
while on a tropical island with crystal clear warm waters.
Our instructor in Koh Tao picks up where you left off in your training at
home to complete your qualifying requirements. Start your study Scuba Diving at
home and get in the water quicker when you arrive on vacation.
You must complete the academic portion of the open water diver
Before you arrive in Koh Tao. This includes completing
all 5 modules of the PADI Open Water manual. You read all modules and complete
the short questions at the end of each module.
Examination consists of the following; 4 short quizzes of 10
multiple questions each. After successfully completing the 4 quizzes and
reviewing any missed questions, you can take the final exam (50 multiple choice
questions).

What Do You Need To Start The PADI Open Water Diver
Course:
Almost anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and
comfortable in the water can do a PADI Open Water Diver Certification. You must
be older than the age of 14 to begin the PADI Open Water Diver Course.
- A PADI Jr Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 14 years may only
dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a
maximum depth of 12 meters/40 feet.
A Certified PADI Open Water Diver Is Qualified To:
- Dive with a buddy independent of supervision while applying the
knowledge and skills they learn in this scuba diving course, within the
limits of their training and experience.
- Obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services.
- Conduct and log open water no stop (no decompression) dives when
properly equipped and when accompanied by a buddy in conditions with which
they have training and/or experience.
- Continue Padi dive training with a specialty dive (Adventure
Dive), of the PADI Specialty courses program.
